The 2016 Season - Match Reports

Saturday 14 May 2016 - Away at Kendal

The firsts travelled to Kendal and managed to make it three wins in a week with an emphatic victory.
Asked to bat Fleetwood were looking well below par at 136/9 after a fine spell from adnan ghaus 6/68. With pro Travis Dean still at the crease on 76no he found a willing partner in Kieron mcgann and what followed will be talked about for many a year.
Travis took to the Kendal attack playing shots all around the wicket whilst mcgann bravely saw off the sharp ghaus and ran brilliantly to keep pro Dean on strike.
Travis ended on 176no.
A new club record over taking the previous best of 158 by club legand John Wright.
It was also a new league record for the highest last wicket partnership (120) AND the highest score by a batter on shap road. No mean feet given some of the quality that has graced there ground.
Travis's final touch of class was to push young mcgann off first to a standing ovation from all at shap road.
In reply Kendal fought bravely but with plenty on the board Clark was able to work his bowlers around to secure the 15 points.
A very special performance from Travis who shares every bit of his success with his team mates. A TRUE PRO
